Homework
Parents, please make sure your child is doing one of these choices everyday for homework. Thank you!
1. Tell your parents about your day! Parents ask questions to help facilitate a memorable conversation.
2. Read 5 to 10 minutes a night. Read the pictures, read the words, or retell a story. Point to each word as you read(1:1). Sound out each letter to make a word (blend or segment together). Use picture clues to help read words, plus reading strategies.
The below are optional once a week, don't over do it. Your kids need a mental break as well as you do.
3. Read and write all sight words. Write 2 words 5 times until mastered, then move on to the next.
